DO I NEED GUTTER GUARDS?

Image
DO I NEED GUTTER GUARDS?    Most definitely, clogged gutters are a big deal. Seriously. You’re better off with   no   gutters than   clogged gutters because clogged gutters will cause overflowing gutters. This leads to water intrusion, rotted soffits, rotted fascia, and all other kinds of bad stuff you don’t want at your home.     If you have large trees near your home, you need a plan to keep your gutters clean. The traditional methods are to either work off a ladder or walk on the roof, but I can’t decide which one is more dangerous. I actually had a client bring  his own  ladder to an inspection once, so he could clean out the gutters at the distressed home he was buying. He reached too far, his ladder tipped over, and he took a nasty fall.    Customary Professionals understands the complications of maintaining flowing gutters. Along with dirt, pine needles, insects even snakes nesting in your gutters. We have started to im...

HAVE YOU EVER CLEANED YOUR DRYER VENT? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CLEANED YOUR DRYER VENT?

Image
Nearly 16,000 homes burn to the ground annually due to clothes dryer fires. The lint that builds up in the dryer and dryer vent is extremely flammable. It is recommended to have your dryer vents cleaned at least every 1 to 2 years.   I have personally seen the damage and turmoil it can have on a family, when something as simple as cleaning your vents can turn into your entire house burning down. It is a very sad, hurtful, and traumatic experience. Not to mention very scary for any child comfortably sleeping to be awaken to a life or death situation. So please take this message very seriously.    I will be posting a blog on how you can clean your own dryer vent soon for anyone interested. We are here to help anyone who cannot clean it themselves. We can clean your vent and help lower your dryer electric bill and help your dryer run better, especially during this time of year We clean from the dryer all the way outside, for additional informa...

Hello South Georgia & North Florida,   Do you have cleaning ladies who come to your home every week? Does your lawn care service or your pool guy come by on a regular basis as well? Such services do wonders for you as a homeowner. They fill in the blanks when you don’t have time to  take on the clutter  inside or all the to-dos outside. But, there’s one more thing that goes into keeping a clean house: pressure washing. Pressure washing is a great investment to plan for at least once or twice a year. This helps keep your roof in good condition, cleans your driveway, and brings a little shine back to your shutters, too. It’s absolutely necessary. You can’t just let any power washing contractors work on your home, though. You need the best people for the job – and here are a few things to look for when searching for them. PLENTY OF EXPERIENCE AND GOOD REVIEWS You probably wouldn’t want to be someone’s very first interior design client, or want to have a brand-new plumbin...

HOW TO WASH YOUR HOUSE WITHOUT A POWER WASHER

How to Wash Your House without a Power Washer MARCH 31, 2018  By  TAMMY WHITTEN Every spring, when people come out from hiding under the covers all winter, there's a lot of cleaning going on inside and outside. From baseboards and ceiling fan blades on the inside, to washing windows and raking away the leftover leaf crumbs nestled in the crevices outside. But there's one chore that used to fill me with dread: cleaning the outside of the house. Being the frugal, quiet person I am, I can't stand the sound of a pressure washer. Especially since it seems to take  forever  to do even my one story house. I also hate the thoughts of the water bill for that month, the price of paying someone to do it, or the cost of buying a machine that I am going to use maybe twice a year. After using old kitchen sponges for the lower parts and standing in chairs and stretching up high with my Swiffer covered in old rags for a few years, I knew there had to be an easier way than wha...
